"Thirst" (2023)

Materials Used: House paint, coffee, gold leaf, acrylic paint the lusting of my former friends towards an ex lover on unstretched canvas. 19”x 21”

Drawing from my previous piece "Watermelon Paradox" and other smaller works, this artwork delves into the concept of desirability. It showcases a phallic symbol, affectionately dubbed the "Black dick," positioned beside a structure adorned with hints of gold leaf, reminiscent of a mirror or window. Hovering above is a toothy grin, eagerly eyeing the phallus. This portrayal playfully critiques society's obsession with penis size, elevating it to a symbol of status and personality. It's a whimsical reminder of how we often perceive physical attributes as gateways to access and power.
